Inground Pool Closing Contract

The purpose of this contract is to schedule work in advance. Please check the services you would like performed along with the preferable weeks you would like the pool closed in. Complete address and payment info and send the agreement. You will receive a confirmation with the exact date. Once you obtain confirmation, you will not receive any further reminders.

No dates will be reserved without a signed contract! Please do not call!

Winterization
Of plumbing system and its components with no more than two shut off valves. We require the use of our pipeline antifreeze. You must have the water level lowered below the skimmers upon our arrival or use winterizing plates. If we have to lower the water level an additional $100.00 will be charged. Bottom drains must have their own shut off valve to be covered under our no freeze guarantee. This service does not include balancing chemicals, it is your responsibility to have the water balanced prior to our arrival. This is extremely important to avoid damage to heaters, liner and all equipment. Chlorine shock and algeacide will be added to maintain current water clarity. This service does not include vacuuming the pool, we will close it in the condition found upon arrival.

Installation of winter cover:
We install your winter cover, should this service require additional water bags, cable, or winches they will be billed in additiona to the installation price. The customer is responsible for maintaining the cover and water level after the service is completed. We are not responsible if the cover comes off/falls in due to product failure, wind or rain accumulations. If we are called back to re-install a winter cover, a service call will be charged.

Filter Cleaning
We take the filter element (D.E. or cartridge) back to the shop, chemically soak the element in Strip Kwik filter cleaner and then scrub/rinse it. We will store your filter all winter and protect it from rodent damage. We will deliver the cartridge to your pool opening. If you wish to pick up your filter in Spring please call the York office at least 2 weeks in advance of pick up as we store it in an off-site storage facility.

Winter Maintenance
Includes One Fall & One Spring visit (approx. Nov & March weather permitting). We will check the security of the winter cover & replace cables or bags as needed, pump off the winter cover and add shock to the pool. Buchmyers Pools will assist you in keeping water off the cover (up to 2 hrs included for both visits. We MUST have access any day/time required. NO locked gates.

Pool Closing Complete
We will add this product to the pool. It is designed to condition the water during the cold months, helping to protect the equipment and make the chlorine work better longer. (Not Compatible with SoftSwim)

Chemical Valet:

We will visit within 2 weeks before your pool closing to run a computerized water analysis and we will add the required chemicals to balance your pool water. We cannot estimate the cost of the chemicals needed prior to running the test. This service is intended to balance water only. It will not solve algae or any other water clarity problems. Your credit card will be stored on file. Retail discounts do not apply. Chemicals must be purchased from Buchmyers Pools. We MUST have access any day/time required. NO locked gates. 15 minute MAX onsite.

Change My Filter Sand For Next Season:

You should change your filter sand every 3 years to keep your pool system running in a good condition. This service will be performed in March or April of the next season before the pool is opened. The fee will depend on your particular unit. Estimate is $150.51 and up. If parts are broken we will replace them and add them to the estimate.

Order Chemicals

General Terms and conditions:
All work is scheduled on a first come first serve basis. We cannot guarantee any times other than first job of the day. We can assume no responsibility for delays beyond our control due to strikes, accidents, weather etc. Electrical components will not be disassembled or removed unless you specifically request us to. We do not turn off your pool timer, you need to do this prior to our arrival. Any needed repairs/labor or parts will be billed in addition to our contract prices. We do need to use electric to close pools, it must be on and available. If we arrive and electric is not available, you will need to reschedule your appointment and pay a trip charge of $100.00. We require 48 hours notice to cancel this contract!

Payment:
We expect payment at the time of service. Please indicate which payment method you are using. If paying by credit card, we must have the card number and expiration date prior to the service. We will send you your receipt and paid invoice. If you choose to pay by cash or check, you must be home to pay the technicians. Or you may place a check (made out for the estimated total that will be on your confirmation) in a Ziploc bag taped to the filter tank. Any balance that may remain due will be invoiced due upon receipt. If we arrive and payment cannot be collected, you will need to reschedule your appointment and pay a trip charge of $100.00.
